Thanksgiving Week

I can't believe that it is Thanksgiving this week!
I am in shock still, but I am so freaking excited, and here's why:
A: Thanksgiving dinner, enough said.
B: I get to spend time with all my family and Jon's family. I love this time of year simply because everyone comes into town and we get to see them all.
C: Black Friday. I can hardly wait. There's nothing like a night out shopping with the girls after you've just eaten your weight in food, running around trying to get all the best deals. It's epic.
This is last years photo of the damage we did just at Carter's, I'm still proud.
We had a pretty awesome weekend here at the Ferg house.
We started a little early on Wednesday night and we rented Brave for Kale. Well on our way to pick up the movie Kale conked out, like the kind of conked out where he has drool running down his shirt and doesn't respond when you lift his arm up and drop it.
So, we decided to watch it by ourselves anyways.
We made some hot cho and watched a kids movie without any kids.
It was great, and that movie is hilarious.
Yep, that's me in all my glory in my workout clothes, not showered and my hair on top of my head.
Super sexy, I know.
Thursday I got a call from my cousin out of the blue asking if me and Kale wanted to go to Disney On Ice because they had two extra tickets!
Say what!
I was so excited to go, and it was awesome!
We both had a blast and I loved being able to hang out with just Kale man, even though he had crossed over to the dark side that night thanks to no nap.
A HUGE THANK YOU to my awesome Aunt Joni aka Auntie Shone and my cousin Linds for thinking of me and Kale man and taking us, we had so much fun, you guys are the bomb.com and I owe you BIG TIME.
So back to the real weekend...
We didn't do jack squat and it was so much fun.
It. Was. Awesome.
We hung out at home, watched movies, put up our Christmas tree while blaring Christmas music and hung out with the two coolest kids around.
It was so nice to just have a weekend just us four, with nothing to do, it was the best weekend I've had in a while.
Yes I know that I desperately need to update my blog.
JEK no longer works and the pictures aren't up to date either.
We just got our family pics back and I sat down with the intentions of updating everything but of course my Picasa Web Albums are full and I am NOT in the mood to deal with that right now, BUT I at least got one photo of the boys up! Go me!
I am still trying to decide on a new blog name... JEKM just doesn't work.
SO as soon as I have the time and patience I will get the new blog up and running.
And I do have one question for all you fellow bloggers.
If I change my URL name and all that will all my followers have to re-follow me or will it just switch them over? And same with all my posts, will I lose all my previous posts?
Any advice will be mucho appreciated!
And since I of course cannot help myself just a little preview from our family pics that we got back this weekend.
I am in love.
P.S. have you ever tried to blog with a 3 year old and an 8 month old in the same room while trying to keep them satisfied and busy cause they wouldn't take a nap?
Don't try it.
Happy Monday from my snot nosed little helper.
...And this is Kale's idea of being entertained.
Making a gigantic mess eating saltines.
Gotta love em'.
  Till next time.

Nov 7, 2012

Oh hey

Yes, it is true, I am posting on my blog.
This is pretty big.
I have been denying my blog.
There I said it.
I got soo behind that I didn't even want to attempt at making a post to try and catch up.
And not to mention it's been kind of insane around here lately and to be perfectly honest there is so much other stuff I probably should be doing right now but what do ya do.
Who needs clean clothes right?
Yep, so here I sit, and instead of bore you all to death on what the heck has been going on the last 3+ months of our lives I'm just going to tell you about my lovely day.
Last night while our faces were glued to the t.v. watching the election... which I'm not even going to get into.
Kale decided it would be a good idea to go into my closet and play with my jewelry box.
Yep.
I go in, have a seizure because all my jewelry is strewn about my closet and start trying to get everything reorganized, while Kale is now going to bed.
So, guess what the ONE thing missing is.
One of my DIAMOND earrings my grandpa gave me for graduation.
Really?
I have oodles of fake jewelry and this is what gets lost?
My ONE pair of diamond earrings?
I have searched high and low and I cannot find that frickin thing.
I'm praying it turns up one random day...
Then my kids decide that they're not going to bed till 11 and that they are going to wake up 3 times in the night each and then think it's totally fine to wake up at 7 a.m.
Day light savings can kiss my rump.
That extra hour of sleep is fabulous if you don't have little kids, but if you do... I feel your pain.
I learned something that I never knew before I had kids.
You see, they don't know that it's really 6 in the morning instead of 7, they're little kid clocks deep deep down inside of them somewhere don't know that day light savings has happened so you get two kids an hour earlier then you ever wanted to be awake.
It's fabulous.
Then this morning Kale decided to wake up with a rash and hives covering his entire body which resulted in a trip to the doctors office.
Kale was ecstatic to go because he now knows that doctors are awesome all thanks to Doc McStuffins.
I feel really bad for that little man.
I swear he puts up with so much crap, and he is such trooper.
Sometimes I really can't help but think that all this crap is the result of a weak immune system from when he was born 8 weeks early. His little body and immune system just didn't have enough time to cook in there.
Anywho. That's a different subject for a different time.
And not to mention that the whole rash incident is basically the reason I'm blogging.
Micah is asleep and Kale is passed out on my bed thanks to the glorious drug he got prescribed called Benadryl...
:)
Basically it's been kind of nightmare-ish last night and this morning, BUT I still feel so grateful today.
I was taking pictures of my boys (surprise surprise) and I got so overwhelmed at how blessed I am to have my family.
I don't want to get all sappy on ya but today I am just feeling so blessed and I needed to share it.
I love all my boys so freaking much and I don't know what I would do without them.
And now since I can't help myself, here's a few photos.
Don't worry I won't go too overboard :)
Kale likes to make Micah play dress up with him a lot...
This is what a very tired momma, 3 year old and baby looks like...
These are Kale's awesome gloves my Mazee got him, they turn all sorts of different colors in different patterns, and not to mention they look like Michael Jackson gloves which makes them that much cooler.
This was Micah's best friend come Halloween time, he was OBSESSED with it.
   Halloween pics.
Kale's pretty hardcore in case you didn't know.
Jonathan and I celebrated FOUR years in October. :)
 My cute cute boys.
Alright so I know I've said this many times but I am going to be better about blogging, I hate having to catch up so I'm going to sit my butt down and do it.
Till next time.
