Good Ol' China

Hello everyone so I just have to share with you all my excitement, Kale's birthday present came and it is so much better than I thought it would be! So first of all the quality on all of the movies is fabulous, they are all the digitally remastered ones that cost like 20 bucks a movie, and it also came with the disk 2 bonus features (but who ever watches those)
But the other part that I was most excited about was the movies that came in it. The list of movies that I saw online only went up to Ratatouille as the most recent but we got all movies up to Toy Story 3, I was so excited! Princess and the Frog is my favorite Disney at the moment and I was so bummed when we ordered this that it wouldn't be included, when I saw that it was in there I got so freaking excited.
Seriously though if you are thinking about buying this I would HIGHLY recommend it, it is awesome and worth every penny. Plus I am so happy that Kale and the rest of our kids will get to grow up watching all the movies that me and Jon grew up with and we don't have to spend an arm and a leg buying them all seperately. Yes, it is expensive up front but we got it for $130 (minus shipping) so that is less than a dollar per movie. Awesome? Uh ya.
The only problem is this set isn't umm... exactly "legal". Jon read up on this and every movie is copyrighted...oops. Don't turn us in please, I guess we should have figured that out on our own seeing as how they came from China and you can't buy them in the U.S.? Oh well, thank you China.
I feel so bad for our neighbors. Our walls here aren't the thickest and you can hear a lot through them.. and we aren't exactly quiet. It's not like we don't care and aren't trying to be courteous but you can't be quiet all the time right?! But hey it's not just us. We have some extremely loud friends who can get very loud at times, especially while playing games. You know who you all are. Anyways we try to stay quiet but most of the time it just doesn't work out to well, especially with a 2 year old who likes to run around screaming. But this clip just makes me feel bad for our neighbors who are awesome by the way (and they aren't the quietest people either so I don't feel too bad)
I have to tell you all how grateful I am for daddies who can take on a crazy 2 year old when they get home from a long day at work. Thank heavens for daddies. They had been running around for like ten minutes before I started filming this, again, thank heavens for daddies.  Thanks for reading everyone have a great day!

Update

So as promised I am updating you on Kale man's leg today. So yesterday Jon, Kale, and myself were sitting at our table talking and playing with Kale and next thing we know Kale is dancing.... with both legs. So I did not call the doctor today! He still won't walk on it but I think he's just scared to, when he gets distracted and isn't thinking about it he puts weight on it. So ya, no x-ray for Kale (thankfully)
In other news I thought I would share with you Jon's new baby, no it is not a real baby but it might as well be. Jon got this as a business trade and I am so grateful. He could not do the work he needed to on our laptop. He's constantly saying "man I love this computer" hehe he's so cute.
It's pretty narfin awesome, I'm so glad that he has a computer that he can do everything he needs to now.
Also with everyone getting married: Brady and Brooke March on 10th and also a big shout out to Ashley and Feller!!! They got engaged on Valentines day!! WOOHOO! We are so happy for you two! Their big day is May 7th!  Anyways with everyone getting married and Valentines this week I have been thinking a lot about our wedding day and what a perfect day it was. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and families who support us! We had a wonderful Valentines by the way Jon took the day off and we were able to spend the day just us three, it was great. When we got home from the doctor these were waiting for me, I'm a sucker for roses.
His mama did raise him right :) But we had a great day together, I really L.O.V.E Valentines day and I hope you all had a great day too!

Dried Apples

I never thought I'd do two posts in one day but that's when you get when you have a clean house and two sleeping babies (tending my nephew Cash) so I'm going to post a cooking recipe, finally. This isn't really a recipe as much as I was craving it and just happened to take some pictures of the process.
So I had a lot of delicious apples from Costco that I knew we would never eat before they went bad so I decided to dry them one random day and I am so glad I did. They were just what I wanted except next time I will just do sugar and cinnamon, I wanted it a little bit more simple.

10 apples
1 lemon or 2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar or truvia
1-1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon allspice
Wash, peel and core apples. If you were smart you would get an apple peeler... I peeled and cored apples for 30 minutes. I didn't mind one bit but if your thinking you would, get a peeler.  10 apples later and I only cut myself once, I was pretty proud.
Put apples in large bowl with lemon juice and water as soon as you cut them. This is so that the apples won't brown.
After your done cutting all the apples put them on a paper towel and pat them dry really well.
Mix all your spices together and put into a shaker and shake onto apples. I didn't have allspice so I just left it out and it was fine.
Put onto parchment paper or on racks and bake at 200 degrees for a few hours, turn over apples at some point, it took about five hours for mine. As you can see I was out of parchment paper at the time so I put them on foil. Big mistake. They stuck to the foil horribly so please I beg of you do not put them on foil. Also next time i will not cut the slices so small. It was not fun going through and flipping every single apple slice. There you go, it was really nice to have apples a different way and still healthy. Enjoy, we sure did!

Kale the Gimpy Birthday Boy

Helloooo everyone,
As you know my little man turned 2 on Sunday. I'm still in shock a little that my baby is 2 now. We wanted to do something fun for him so we took him to Kangaroo Zoo. We were there for 15 maybe 20 minutes and Kale got hurt. He hyper-extended his right leg, we took him to the doctor and he said that if by the end of the week he wasn't walking on it we would need to get an x-ray. Well it is now Thursday and he's still not walking on it and it's not looking like he's going to anytime soon :( So I think I'll be making another call to the doctor tomorrow.
I forgot how much of a luxury it is to have a baby that walks. Crawling is no bueno. So I will update again as soon as we know more about little man's leg.
We didn't take too many pictures of Kale's birthday parties (yes plural on parties, we had one for Jon's family and a different one for my family cause both our humongous families together is a lot of family at once) But he was pretty cranky and we were just trying to keep him happy. But here are a few that we did take.
This was lunch before we went to Kangaroo Zoo, he likes to wear daddy's hats.

Opening presents with Grandma.
See I told you he wasn't very happy
We are attractive I know

Opening some more presents

 Yosh and Chelsea
She REALLY wanted his ring pop
Bestest best friends
Just one good picture... that's all I ask
Kale and daddy play a game where they point to each other and go YOU!!! Kale thinks it's hilarious.
 Nummy meatloaf
Until next time folks have a wonderful day!

A litttle bragging

Hello everyone I hope you are having a great day. Today I'm going to brag a little about my main man. I love Jonathan so stinking much, it's amazing how love grows more and more over time, sorry to get all sappy on you.

But I am so grateful for him and all that he does for our family. He works so so hard, and is so dedicated to his family, he tells me every day how beautiful I am and no one makes me laugh harder then him, and no one can make Kale laugh like he can. I am so thankful that I am sealed to him for time and all eternity and that he is such a strong priesthood holder. I'm pretty in love with him in case you couldn't tell.

But anyways back to the real reason why I am bragging about him today, he is so talented at what he does, I love watching him work because it just amazes me how much there is to renderings and animation... I could never do it, my brain does not function on that level. He is so fast at it and it's just like second nature to him, it's crazy, trust me. This is what he does, this is his offices weekly add they send out, all the renderings are Jonathan's... ya he's awesome.
Pretty awesome huh?

So I also have to share with you my excitement that my little man is turning 2 on Sunday!!!! Can you believe it? I sure can't. Ya know how everyone says they grow up so fast? They really do, it's scary how fast they grow and go through phases. I swear it does not feel like two years ago he was just this tiny 4 pound 11 ounce dude and now he's a crazy little running around toddler.
I'm so excited for this weekend, we are going to have lots and lots of fun. Even though he won't remember it I still want to make it special for him and let him have an awesomely fun day. I'm so excited about what we got him I can't help myself from sharing it with you all.
What the heck is this you might ask? In this magical box is
EVERY SINGLE DISNEY MOVIE EVER MADE!
Oh yes believe it. 172 magical DVD's. I'm so excited for it to get here I can hardly stand it. It won't make it here by Kale's Birthday but oh well, what do you do?
(It's not like he knows what the heck a birthday is anyways)
So there you go, I didn't even need to leave my house to get his present, pretty great if you ask me.
Well I hope you have an amazing day, thanks for reading everyone!

Hugs and Kisses

This past Saturday we were bored out of our minds and had absolutely nothing to do. I was going around our house and realized that I have zero Valentines day decorations. It's probably because I'm not a pink and brightly colored things person, most of the things in my house and what I wear consist of black and like colors. I'm trying to be better about it though. So I thought of a cute idea and I headed down to Michael's to grab some supplies.
Got myself some red spraypaint and sealer.
And some block letters. I didn't take a picture of them before I painted them but this is what they looked like.
Went outside in to the freezing cold and painted.
I did two coats of the red and then sealed them.
Let them dry really good, hang some ribbon on them and there you go.
Super easy and it gave us something to do.
In case you were wondering how bored we were this is how bored we were.
Yes, those are my mixing bowls on our heads, it was all Kale's idea
We tried to get one with all three of us but someone wouldn't hold still....                             Thanks for reading!

Help?

Ok I need help, I'm still kind of blog retarded, to be honest Jon does pretty much everything for me but one thing is just driving me insane. K so look at the top of my blog, see how the pattern just stops then there's the picture thing and it's just white? How do I get the bubble pattern thing to go all the way to the top of the blog and around my pictures? I really can't figure it out and it's driving me mad. Also, how do i get more than one post to show up at a time without having to click older posts??? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
