Friends, Festivals, and RM's

Happy Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day!!! Did you know that January 31 is National bubble wrap appreciation day? I sure didn't. Who comes up with these things? Anyways I hope you all have an amazing day, go pop some bubble wrap.
Onto better things. This past weekend was such an awesome weekend. We had so so so much fun with all of our amazing friends.
Wednesday the 26th Ben and Jett got home off their missions. I am so glad they are home and I know Jon is too, it was so good to see them.
I think we need to get this shirt for them...

We decided that we were all going to have a big sleepover at our house on Friday because everyone was down from Logan and obviously cause Ben and Jett were home.
So Friday was great, I got to play volleyball in the morning, I miss playing every day so so bad I play with a bunch of ladies that I love, it seriously is always one of the highlights of my week.
Then I came home and cleaned my seriously messy house with Kale man all day long.
Friday night Jon, me and Kale went to Walmart for a bit, then when we got home Karin came over before everyone else got there. We talked for probably an hour or more and it was so nice, we hadn't seen her forever.
Then Jamie, Ashley, Feller, Brady and Brooke came over and we all played Disney Scene it. It was so much fun, I get wayyy to into games like that though...
Cute Karin and Jame.... They won by the way, narfers. I still love them though.
Sorry about the yellowness of some of the pictures.
And why can men never take a normal picture? The proof is right here

See I told you. At least it's a good one of all the girlies.
And by the way
CONGRATULATIONS TO BRADY AND BROOKE!!!
They got engaged on Friday!!! The big day is March 10th!!! We are SOOOO excited for you guys!!!!!
After playing games we all talked for a bit, and then the girls left and I went to bed and then Ben came over and Jon, Fell and Ben all had a sleepover downstairs, just like in high school. I fell asleep at two and I could still here them downstairs chit chatting away, cute.
Saturday morning Jame and Ash came back and we had a BIG breakfast. Really though, I think I made enough waffles to feed a small country.
This picture does not do the waffles justice. We had a really great time. It was so nice to be back together with everyone.
Hey look it's Ben.
Love these people.
Everyone was SO full..
More!
Everyone cleaning up. I love how Jame is super happy drying that pan, and Ash is headless.

After breakfast we were all in a food coma for a bit.

After breakfast they all went to the temple. We couldn't get a babysitter and plus I had a shower I had to get too. It was for Jess Park, I love that girl to death! I'm so so excited for her, she is one beautiful bride!
As soon as I got home from Jess's shower Jame, Ash, Karin, Brooke and I all went to the Bridal Festival!
It seriously was so much fun, and I've been married for two years. I love those girls so much. There was so much free food there, no joke almost every booth had free food and did we ever turn any down? No sir.
On our way there

This is at the fashion show. It was actually pretty entertaining and Brooke won a prize for being the most recently engaged!

All of us and cute little Avery. (Ash's niece)

It was so much fun, I would recommend going to one of these if you are planning a wedding!
Best part of the whole thing was there was a homeless guy sleeping by the doors as we were leaving and Karin set her cupcake down next to him hahaha it was great.
After the bridal festival Jon, me, Brady and Brooke went to the Pizza Factory. It was our first time eating out since we finished with HCG and I ate WAY too much.

After dinner we went and walked through Brady and Brooke's new apartment. It't so awesome and perfect I am so excited for them!!
Later that night everyone came over (Ash and Fell, Ben and..... some girl that I can't remember her name (sorry!) Jett and Jill Brady and Brooke and Jon and I) and we played Disney Scene It again, I love that game! Me and Jon won :) After that we turned on Bolt and EVERYONE  fell asleep, we only made through about 15 minutes of it.
Sunday was Jett's homecoming, and he gave a great talk. We had my mom watch Kale for us while we went and I got to tell ya, it was SO nice to be able to sit all the way through a sacrament meeting, it was probably the first time in two years.
Kale is doing so much better! Yay! His cough is pretty much non existent (is that a word?) and he's back to himself. I'm so grateful that it didn't last very long, I am done with cold and flu season!
This is his spot to eat his grahams and watch t.v.
He's so stinking cute, I love that boy.
Sunday night we went to my families for dinner, everyone was there and it was so good to see them all. We played Disney Scene It yet again and guess what, we won :)
We had such an amazing weekend and are so grateful for all of our wonderful friends and family that we are so blessed to have in our lives, we love you all!
And for those of you who care, and enjoy mocking me, I didn't say freaking once. Get it out

Craftyness

I'm not a crafty person. I wish I was and I try to be but everything I try never really works out the way I want it to. But this little project I really love. Ever since we have moved in our t.v. wall has been driving me crazy. It's the biggest wall in our house and it has had nothing on it but our t.v. and it looked so plain and boring. I should have taken a before picture of the wall so you could see how plain and boring it was but I forgot, sorry.
The other day I saw a really cute plaque that said home sweet home and I bought it to put up on our cabinets cause they are in desperate need of some stuff as well. When I bought it, it was up high on a shelf and I couldn't see it very well.
I got it home, opened up the box and it's not what I thought it was, it had hooks on it and was definitely not made for cabinets but I didn't want to take it back cause I loved it so much. So I thought and thought of what I could do with it and finally I got an idea and here it is

It sure looks a lot better than it did before and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

This is what Rachel brought me back from Paris, I freaking love it. Sorry it's not a better picture but it is such a beautiful painting and Moulin Rouge is one of my absolute favorite movies of all times. No matter how many times I watch it I still get chills and cry every time.
Kale is doing awesome, still coughing all the time and having a hard time breathing but other than that he really is doing good which I am so so grateful for. He does not like the medicine the doc gave him though, he pukes every time we give it to him, but I don't blame him, I tried a little bit of it and almost puked myself it's so freaking nasty. And ya he still loves his graham crackers.

The week

This week I have sat down to update our blog three times and after five minutes I get up and leave, but I'm not going to leave until it is done!
This past weekend was a lot of fun, on friday.... well to be honest I think all we did was get cafe rio and watch a movie with Brady but it was still fun!
Saturday I went to Michelle Emmon's baby shower which was really fun, it was so nice to have some girl time/talk, I think I was there for like four hours..
Then we went to the car show later that night. I was so freaking excited, it's become a little tradition of ours to go to the car show every year. It was so packed!! The number one reason I wanted to go was to see this little baby
Isn't she perty? This is my dream car by the way. Anyways the jeep they had there was so packed with people the whole time I didn't even get to get in it :( (I have already been in one though, Jon was the first non dealer in Utah to drive one, lucky narf. But I was more than happy to sit in the back seat.) ANYWAYS so I was bummed about that but then there was Kale man..
Kale is sort of OBSESSED with cars so we thought taking him to the car show would be a fun thing for him right? Sweet mother were we wrong. He liked it, it's just that he wanted to get into EVERY SINGLE car to "drive" it and when we didn't let him in every single freaking car he had a major and when i say major i mean MAJOR temper tantrum, it was quite the night. (this was right before we left for the car show)
Monday night Kale started to cough a lot but I didn't think anything of it. Then on Tuesday his asthma was horrible, I couldn't get it under control and he was coughing all day long. On Wednesday when he woke up it was even worse so I finally called the doctor to bring him in. I thought something had just triggered an asthma attack that I couldn't get under control. Oh no, turns out Kale has Pneumonia, awesome!
May I just say I HATE HATE HATE genetics sometimes? What I mean is that I hate that everything bad we have gets passed on to our kids, asthma, allergies you get the point.
So it is going to be a very long couple of weeks while Kale gets over it. I'm just grateful that he is still his little self. He is still eating and running around like crazy, just wheezing and coughing non-stop.

Poor little guy first the flu and now this, what the narf.
Other things going on right now,
I need a hair cut and color so bad and I really hope Rachel will do it today. This is Kale's first hair cut.

My dad took Josh and Chelsea snowmobiling and I'm really jealous. I haven't been for over two years! Sigh... this is my dad by the way, he's awesome at snowmobiling.

Jon is very very busy with work, and has lost 30 pounds since April and now another 13.6 in the past two weeks on top of that! Go Jonathan

We got a heater!! A very long awaited and much needed heater for our downstairs, yes I took a picture of it, that's how excited I am.

Kale has a little obsession with graham crackers.

I miss baking... I need an event that I have to take a treat to so I can make something. And I promise I will put up a baking post very soon!
I'm still trying to figure out Photoshop.. there is a lot to learn but i'm excited!
We miss our friends up in Logan.

Kale is really cute. And I love my family very very much.
Wow what a long post.. I promise I'm done.

Poor Poor Baby

My Kale man is sick. Ugh. There is nothing worse then when your baby is sick. Saturday night when I was putting Kale to bed he was crying really hard which is not like him, then I picked him up off the changing table and it hit. He just totally erupted, it was so sad. I was so stunned I couldn't do anything but just stand there while he puked all over me. By the time he was finished he was completely covered, I was completely covered, the floor and his crib were also drenched, gross I know.

Kale has a pretty sensitive stomach as it is and I have really become immune and desensitized to puke and the wonderful smells that come from it by now. But, I have to tell ya this puke really got to me. After he finished I seriously couldn't move, I started to dry-heave which I have never ever done when Kale has puked before. I'm going to say it's probably because I had puke on my face, in my hair, down my neck and into my sweatshirt, down my jeans and into my ugg boots, lovely right? I thought so. I just screamed at the top of my lungs for Jon and I had to just give Kale to Jon and walk out of the room. I just needed to take two minutes to change and get it off my face... and my hair.

So after we got him bathed and everything all cleaned up we put him to bed and watched Prince of Persia with Brady (who was there for the whole puking episode, I'm just glad he was downstairs for it).
How sad is this? This was right after he woke up from one of his naps and he was so hot I just took all of his clothes off and put him on his chair with his blankie and bear. Poor little guy.
Let's just say Saturday night was probably the worst night EVER! At 2:00 a.m. it started up again, then three more times throughout the night, poor little guy. Then all day Sunday he had HORRIBLE diarrhea, which of course led to a pretty good diaper rash on his bum. And on top of that he had a fever of 101 to 102 all day. He started to get a little energy in the evening and I thought the worst of it was over but then right around bed time the fever came back and he just hit a wall.

Today he woke up with a fever of 102.5 which isn't super high but I called the doctor anyway. And I don't know why. I knew calling what they were going to say. "Well there isn't anything we can do, just keep giving him lots of fluids and put him on the BRAT diet (bananas, rice cereal, applesauce, toast) and give him Tylenol". But, I still called and like always I got disappointed that I couldn't do more for him. It seriously is the most frustrating thing in the entire world watching your baby so sick knowing that there is nothing that you can do for him, I HATE it.

There is however one upside to my baby being sick, and that is all the cuddling I get to do :). I can't get enough of it and Kale only cuddles when he's tired or first wakes up but it lasts about two minutes at the most. And I know it sounds evil, but I love it lol, I can't help it! I love love love to cuddle. So today has been a cuddle in pj's day and .. that's about it, which I am more than ok with. Kale has just been dead all day and hasn't eaten anything but crackers and Pedialyte. I really really hope that he gets better soon, and I hope that tomorrow will be a better day! I will update again when he is better, thanks for reading!
Sure loves him some Pedialyte, not the bread though, unfortunately :(

Narf Computers

So I have been on the computer for the last HOUR dinking around on photoshop trying to figure it out and trying to post a recipe on my blog, and when i get done on photoshop, it won't narfing upload the pictures to my blog. Awesome right? I have officially given up for tonight. I really don't want to go to bed though because Jon is still at work... ya still at work and it is almost 11:00 at night, narf. I would much rather have my husband home then be getting paid double over time wouldn't you?
Funny story, so today I was upstairs folding laundry and I could here this stomping around downstairs and so I went to see what Kale was up to. I get downstairs and he is on the kitchen table dancing. I was laughing so hard I couldn't even get mad at him! He's such a turkey sometimes I swear.
He now thinks that if he does something naughty and then says UH OH! it makes everything ok (and it sometimes does cause it's so stinkin cute) but you get the point.
He DEFINITELY has hit his terrible 2's, I think Feller probably will never go out to dinner with us ever again. We went to Texas Roadhouse before he went up to Logan and Kale was seriously the worst I have ever seen him! I feel really bad and super embarrassed but what do you do?
But then you see this cute face and it makes everything better :) I'm off to bed, my husband just informed me he'll be another hour and I don't think I'll make it that long. Have a good night!!!
